FA SECTION PROFILE
With its roots in the introduction of robot technology to Yamaha motorcycle assembly activities, the division has over 40 years’ experience solving automation challenges from factory-scale to micron-level. Yamaha’s industrial robots are now trusted by leading corporations worldwide, in activities as diverse as semiconductor fabrication and assembling electronic products, domestic appliances, automotive components, and large liquid-crystal panels.
Leveraging technical competencies that cover motion control, signal processing, linear motors, mechanical controls, machine learning, and more, Yamaha develops core robotic technologies and creates industry-leading and unique solutions such as the LCMR200 linear conveyor module; a smoother, space-saving and more versatile successor to conventional belt and roller conveyors. Key components and complete robot systems are produced in-house to maintain consistent quality and control over lead-times. Enshrining the Yamaha philosophy to integrate manufacturing, sales, and technical support, ensures key processes are as streamlined as possible to optimise efficiency and deliver maximum value for customers.
In addition, Yamaha FA section works with clients to develop customised solutions where needed and continues to set the pace in commercial deployment of robot technology by introducing innovative concepts. These include the Advanced Robotics Automation Platform for rapid integration of agile, low-cost, IIoT-ready automated manufacturing solutions.
